With the rumors that real estate prices are coming down, I decided to check out on some hot properties in Bangalore. What caught my eyes was zamanzar.com. While there are numerous websites that throw out options in the form of classifieds, Zamanzar provides 360 degree service by helping you identify the property, clarify the papers, take you on tour to the property and similar ones, arrange finance and close the deal. A real estate website with online and offline support, Zamanzar is certainly a one-stop-shop for your property search.

Zamanzar is a more like an online brokerage firm, with offline sales team to help complete transactions. To start with, they have services in Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Noida, Gurgaon, and Ghaziabad, and intend to extend them to other cities slowly.

One very useful information that Zamanzar provides which probably is not available with others is the price comparison aspect (you could point out if any other site offers this). As I was checking out the prices of certain apartment complex in Indiranagar, Zamanzar.com also gives the general ongoing real-estate price in Indiranagar, which helped me decide if the property I am looking at is costly for that area. More than the localities this probably would be very useful for the NRIs. The Google Maps shown on the page is an added advantage.  As any other real estate website, the site also lacks in photographs.

As I browse through the pages, I find them more inclined towards NRI services. They want to be “professional estate agent services for NRI, PIO and OCI customers keeping their investment goals in mind”.  Photographs probably would help these people have a sneak peek into the huge investment they want to make.

The name Zamanzar is derived from the Urdu language words ‘Zameen’ (Land) and ‘Manzar’ (View). Overall the site is good, they have a 24 hour chat agent activated and have provided toll free numbers for India and USA. They are pretty accessible.

Check out their revenue aspect. They claim that they are already making money! Their three primary revenue streams are:
Consultancy Fees charged on real estate transactions, Premium Advertising Fees for highlighted listings and branded listings charged to advertisers on the web site,Revenue from banner ads, Google Adsense and other ad networks deployed on the web site.

The biggies magicbricks.com, 99acres.com, certainly have a tough competition!
